The Taurus 3 is a professional
level ring saw for a price anyone can afford. The unique
5-3/4" ring saw blade is ridged and doesn't 'flex' or 'float'
like bandsaw blades - that means you get very accurate cuts.
Plus the seamless stainless steel ring blade has diamonds on
all sides (not just on the front) so the blade cuts in any direction.
The Taurus 3 Ring Saw has a powerful
1/5 horse power motor and a convenient snap-open side housing
for easy access to the blade, belt, drive wheels and motor. The
large 18" x 12" work surface can easily removed for
cleaning. Includes standard 5-3/4" diamond ring
blade and DVD usage instruction video.
The Taurus 3 Ring Saw has a new
hand-held feature, that allows you to remove saw from the saw
case for hand scroll work. Improved heavy-duty drive system
provides reduced maintenance. Saw has an oversized 18"
x 12" work surface, flip-up face shield and built-in lighting
system. The Taurus 3 Ring Saw comes with a standard ring
blade that is already mounted on the saw.
An optional 'Mega Blade' exclusively
for the Taurus 3, is super heavy-duty - designed specifically
for thick plate glass, tile and light stone. An optional
Snap-Apart blade is also available for inserting the blade into
a drilled hole, to allow cutting without any side entry cuts.
These
Taurus 3 Ring Saws are brand new in factory sealed boxes.

Taurus 3 Accessory Kit
The Taurus 3 Ring Saw Accessory
Kit adds increased versatility to the powerful saw. Kit
includes a straight-edge guide, 10 degree and 45 degree miter
guides (for lamp edges and box corners), 30-60-90 degree cut-off
triangle guides, and a circle guide (up to 15-3/4" diameter
circles). An instruction video is also included covering
use of the items in the accessory kit, plus it has a section
on using the optional "separating blade". The
separating blade is available below in the blade section.

Taurus 3 Ring Saw Blades
Taurus 3 ring saw blades are
5-3/4" in diameter seamless diamond coated blades.
The blade thickness and diamond grit is indicated below for each
blade type. For example a .070"/80 grit blade is 0.70"
thick and has 80 grit diamonds. All Taurus 3 ring saw blades
include replacement grommets (2 orange grommets in each blade
pack) which will normally last the life of the blade under normal
operations.
Standard Blade - .070"/80 grit for use on glass,
tile and light stone. This Taurus 3 Ring Saw comes with
a Standard Blade mounted.
Separating 'Snap-Apart' Blade - Also .070"/80 grit and allows
you to insert the blade into a drilled hole. This lets
you cut a piece out of the middle of material without having
an 'entry-cut' from the edge.
Heavy-Duty 'Mega Blade' - Tear-drop shaped, designed specifically
for the Taurus 3 saw for improved cutting of fused glass, thick
plate glass, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and stone tile.
The slightly thicker blade gives londer life when cutting in
today's super-hard porcelan tile and stone tile. This blade
is a tear-drop shape with the point facing inward and the rounded
edge facing out.
Slim "Jeweler's"
Blade - Is .050"/80
grit, designed for very detailed, fine cutting work. The
slim blade thickness of .050" is about 30% thinner than
the standard Taurus ring blades.
Slim/Fine 'Dichro' Blade - .050"/120 grit is designed for
intricate work with less waste and very fine grit for less chipping.
The thin blade with fine grit diamond is intended for use on
dichroic glass, irridescent glass, jewlery, etc.
Heavy-Duty 'Speed Blade' - Tear-drop shapped for cutting ceramic
tile, porcelain tile, gused glass, thick glass and stone tile.
This blade is shaped like a tear-drop with the point facing outward
for agressive cutting. This blade includes the flocked
belt due to its agressive nature and the blade should not be
used with the standard belt.
'Slicer Blade' - .040"/100 grit, designed for
use with the Gemini Super Slicer attachement. Generally, this
blade is used for repetitive forward and backward cuts. Gemini
recommends that the Slicer Blade be used with the flocked belt.
Note:
The Taurus 2 and Taurus 3 ring saw blades are interchangeable,
with two exceptions. The Standard, Slim and Snap-apart
blades are exactly the same for both saw models, although the
replacement grommets included with the blade pack differ for
the Taurus 2 and Taurus 3 style blade pack. Secondly, the
heavy-duty 'Mega Blade' is only available for the Taurus 3 model
ring saw and will not fit on the Taurus 2 model saw since that
saw does not have the heavy-duty drive system.
Mix any quantity of 3 or more
Taurus blades for lower price. Be sure to use the "Mix"
price buttons.
If an

The Taurus II Ring Saw was discontinued
by the manufacturer, Gemini Saw Company, shortly after the introduction
of the Taurus 3 Ring Saw. While the Taurus II saw was a
very good ringsaw, the Taurus 3 saw had many significant improvements
- a much more heavy-duty, low maitenance drive system in addition
to a larger work surface, blade stabilizer, built-in work light,
etc.
The basic Taurus II Ring Saw
specification are shown below for reference purposes. Further
below are Taurus II blades, parts and accessories, which we continue
to sell to support the large number of customers who have Taurus
II Ring Saws.
